Jiu Jitsu GP Terms and Conditions for entering a JJGP Team to compete in a Jiu Jitsu GP Tournament.
JIU JITSU GP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

At Jiu Jitsu GP, we strive to make our Jiu Jitsu Tournament accessible to all belt grades. Black Belts, Brown Belts, Purple Belts, Blue Belts and White Belts. You can also combine Academies to make a Team, if required. By competing in a JJGP Tournament you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Rules and Code of Conduct: you must comply with the Rules of the Tournament. It is the competitors responsibility to ensure Rules outlined in the JJGP website have been read, understood and abided by at all times. In addition, the following will not be tolerated:
You understand that if you are responsible for any of the below, your participation may be suspended or terminated without refund.

Any equipment damages must be paid for by the competitor.

Swearing, spitting, loud or raucous behaviour.

Participating in tournament whilst under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Misuse or mistreatment of training equipment.

Fee Payment: all Tournament fees are paid in advance. If fees are not paid by the due date, access to JJGP will be cancelled.

Alterations to Operations, Rules or Agreement: JJGP reserves the right to implement any changes to Rules, conditions of participation, operation hours, facilities and services provided at any time. JJGP will notify you at least two weeks prior to any changes, notification will be via email (to your most recently advised email address), newsletters and/or notices.

Your Physical Condition: You represent that you are in good physical condition and that you are unaware of any medical or other reason why you should not engage in the Tournament or activity you are about to commence. You maintain that such activity or training would not be detrimental to your health, safety, comfort or physical condition. JJGP are not medically trained and are therefore not qualified to assess whether you are in good physical condition and that you can engage in activity or training without detriment to your health. If in doubt we recommend you obtain the advice of a medical expert prior to commencing in JJGP. You will refrain from competing at JJGP and from using the facilities if you have a contagious illness, disease or other ailment such as open cuts, sores or minor infections where there is a risk, regardless of size, to other members, guests and Instructors.

First Aid: You agree that our Instructors or volunteers may provide any first aid treatment deemed necessary.
Indemnity:

Members assume the risk of all and any injury to themselves or their property arising out of the participation in the activities, classes and other events and activities of JJGP and acknowledge and agree that JJGP, its instructors, Members, Volunteers shall not be liable for any claim, loss, damage or injury whatsoever to person or property except where caused by gross negligence of JJGP. Also that we shall not be liable for any death, personal injury or illness occurring on JJGP premises or as a result of participating in a JJGP Tournament.

In consideration of the grant of membership to you, entitling you to engage in martial arts and fitness activities, you hereby release and forever discharge JJGP, its instructors, Members, Volunteers etc. from all actions, suits, proceedings, claims, demands, losses, damages, penalties, fines, costs and expenses however arising that you may have had but for this release arising from or in connection with your involvement in martial arts and fitness activities of JJGP, or being on the premises of JJGP, and indemnify JJGP to the extent permitted by law in respect to these arising as a result of or in connection with your involvement in martial arts and fitness activities of JJGP or being on the premises of JJGP and whether caused or contributed to, directly or indirectly, by any act of negligence to the fullest extent permitted by law, breach of duty, default and / or omission on the part of JJGP or otherwise.
New Zealand Gi Blacks
Available only to the Academies who participate in the Jiu Jitsu GP Tournament. If you compete in an International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition Gi or No-Gi, achieve a podium finish either, Gold, Silver or Bronze then you can apply to have your competition registration fees reimbursed. Evidence required; date and location of tournament, photo finish (if available), declaration from your Professor. (please note does not pay towards airfares, accommodation etc)
Subject to available funds and please allow 10 working days for processing.
New Zealand Giwis
Available only to the Academies who participate in the Jiu Jitsu GP Tournament. If you are under 16 years and compete in an International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition Gi or No-Gi, achieve a podium finish either, Gold, Silver or Bronze then you can apply to have your competition registration fees reimbursed. Evidence required; date and location of tournament, photo finish (if available), declaration from your Professor. (please note does not pay towards airfares, accommodation etc)
